100K Club

A sports betting club on Discord with an earned rank ladder, and Slipboard, the bot that grades slips.

About the project

100K Club is a paid sports betting community on Discord with an earned rank ladder: Member, Rising Sharp, Sharp, Featured Sharp and Club Legend. It's community-first. Members rise by posting and tracking their own plays, not by following a few senior cappers.

Slipboard is the custom Discord bot behind it. A member posts a bet slip screenshot and tags @Slipboard; the bot reads the image, grades it automatically from live scores, keeps the leaderboard and assigns rank roles.

The landing page sells the club and shows the ladder, a preview of the Discord, the leaderboard and recent wins. Its hero crest tilts toward the cursor with a holo glare and a gold sweep clipped to the crest's shape, over a WebGL silk shader.

Status

Pre-launch. The landing page is live. Slipboard runs on Railway with Postgres and has auto-graded real slips. The server isn't open to members yet.

What was interesting

  1. 01

A bot that reads slips so members don't fill out forms. Members post a screenshot and tag @Slipboard; the bot reads it, matches it to real games and grades it from live scores. It graded a 7-leg boosted parlay correctly on its own.

  2. 02

Ranks that reward skill, not volume. Thresholds use units risked, profit and ROI over a window, with safeguards so tiny bets and lotto parlays can't game the ladder.

  3. 03

Porting React components into a non-React page. The carousel and reactions were React; the page wasn't. Hooks became one imperative object that owns its DOM, so the page's re-renders never fight the animation.

  4. 04

Debugging rendering, not just logic. Carousel cards looked pixelated because the browser had frozen them as small layers and scaled them up; drawing them at full size fixed it.

  5. 05

Many rounds of visual iteration. The crests went through simplified shields for Discord role icons, detailed crests for the site, and black lacquer with gold inlay for Club Legend.
